This holiday season we ask you to consider making a small but meaningful donation to a local charitable organization. Muse has had the pleasure to work with and support multiple not-for-profit organizations that make a difference in our arts and cultural communities, tackle youth homelessness and promote literacy. We are proud to support organizations in our community and help make our city a brighter place for all to live and learn. Below is a shortlist of local organizations in Hamilton that could use some extra help this time of year.

“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” — Winston S. Churchill

Children’s International Learning Centre

The Children’s International Learning Centre offers educational and artistic programming to promote respect for diversity and cultures. Your donation helps support their youth programming and school visits.

Dundas Valley School of Art

It is no surprise that we are big supporters of DVSA (most of the Muse team went to art school!). DVSA offers multiple community events throughout the year like the Holiday Family Hoopla and Artist Talks. Donations to DVSA help support the studio and tuition fees for their courses.

Hamilton Literacy Council

The Hamilton Literacy Council helps improve adult literacy by providing them with free training in reading, writing, math and computer skills. These services open doors for individuals with underdeveloped literacy skills. Donations from the community provide resources for their students and tutors.

Hamilton Youth Housing

In 2018 Muse had the opportunity to work on a local campaign to help reduce youth homelessness in Hamilton. There are three local organizations that are helping some of the most vulnerable people in our community:

Living Rock Ministries

Living Rock Ministries provides youth with the support, education and opportunities needed to build toward a brighter future. They help provide essential supports to youth between the ages of 13-25, who are affected by significant risk factors such as loss of family, poverty, substance misuse and mental health.

N2N

Neighbour to Neighbour is dedicated to improving the quality of life for Hamilton and it’s residents. Initially starting off as a food bank, N2N has grown to offer counselling services, educational support and community. Donations help support the food bank, provide Christmas dinner for families, and provide fresh produce from their community gardens to those in need.

Wesley

Wesley is a multi-service organization that offers Children, Youth & Family Services, Housing & Homeless Services and Newcomer & Community Services. They offer over 30 different programs in 20 different locations across Hamilton, Halton and Brantford.

Sensity

Sensity provides services to members of the deafblind community and people with multiple sensory impairments. Muse had the pleasure to rebrand this organization – from creating a new name, to their new brand identity and website. Donations to Sensity go directly to the incredible programs and services that support people who are deafblind. This includes emergency intervenor services, specialized equipment funding and children’s intervenor services.

St Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton Foundation

The Muse team was proud to work with Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton in developing the creative branding platform for their 2025 Vision and strategic plan. They are leaders in healthcare and in our community. The St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton Foundation raises funds to support patient care, research and education at St. Joe’s.
